Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Hello Everyone!

As you probably all know by now, I made it home safely from Germany. What a wonderful experience it was. I can't express my gratitude to all of those who made this trip possible! I was able to do many things for the glory of God and I am very thankful for that opportunity.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to post while on my trip, there were a few errors with my Kindle and the internet. I had a lot of trouble. HOWEVER! I will be updating the blog very soon with entries from every day that I was there. I took very detailed notes and I plan to post something about each day of my trip. I will also post my thank you flyer when I get it all finished.

As you can imagine, things have been very hectic since my return on Monday evening. So I will do my best to get everything updated ASAP so be sure to check back!

Thank you so much for everything!

God bless you!

First update from Rostock!

I finally made it to Germany! We flew from Chicago to Paris to Berlin. Then we had to take a bus to the train station. We took the first train for 2 hours and another train for 1 hour. Finally Caro met us at the airport and we went back to the church where we're staying. We were so tired last night so we had all we could do to stay awake. We finally got to sleep and we stayed asleep until we got up for church this morning. Church was a Lutheran service all in German. It was very interesting and we all enjoyed ourselves. Today we went on a prayer walk around the village. Then we took a trip and visited a family who was very kind and hospitable. It was a lot of fun to meet and hang out with them. They even cooked us an authentic German meal - including desert! I'm having a great time here and I cant wait to start working with the kids tomorrow! So far everything is great and I cant wait to see what the rest of the week will bring! That's all for now! Blessings! p.s. Happy Mothers Day!!!

I'm on the way... almost!

It's so close! I'm leaving TOMORROW!!

First of all, I want to thank everyone who helped me reach my goal, both financially, and through prayer. I am so very excited to share the word of God with everyone in Rostock! It's going to be an awesome trip, and I can't wait to share the details with everyone when I get back!

If you would like to communicate with me when I'm there and you have a smart phone, please download the TextMe app from the app store.

           The picture looks like this!

Then you can add me on there, and I will respond to your messages as soon as I have wifi!

I will also be posting updates on here when I can! If I'm unable to post, I will fill you all in when I get back! Until then, God bless you!

- Prayers for a safe trip are always greatly appreciated! -

Update

Another exciting update! Our plane tickets only ended up costing $680! So our trip total is only going to be $1180, so I am VERY close to reaching my fundraising goal. I'm getting more and more excited as the date approaches.

I found out we'll have a few layovers in Rome and Paris! That's very exciting news as well. On the way home we get to stop in Amsterdam as well. The trip keeps getting more and more exciting. My group is starting to meet each other via emails and Facebook, so it's really great to meet who I'll be serving with!

That's all for now!

Blessings!

Good News!

So the other day I received an email from Scott who is leading our mission trip. He told us that he found airline tickets for $800 round trip instead of $1500! For those of you who don't like math, that means that the entire trip will only cost me $1300 instead of $2000! That's an extra $700! I am feeling unbelievably blessed by this good fortune. I found this bible verse that describes how I felt:

"And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus" Philippians 4:19 NIV

I am so glad that we were able to get a better price. I'm especially happy since my friend who is going with me was really struggling to raise enough money. I hope now that we will all be able to take this trip and have a great time spreading the word of God.

New Year Update

Hey everyone!

Now that things have started to slow down a little bit, the donations have started to come in. I recently received two checks from my family members which were both extremely helpful! It's all coming to reality now because it's getting so close! My friend and I have been looking up some bible verses and stories to tell the kids. It's so exciting!
I'll keep you posted!
